Alchemy – Mixology increases the stat bonus of elixirs by up to 25% and the duration by 100% (to 2 hours) and the stat bonus of flasks by up to 50% and the duration by 100% (to 4 hours) for alchemists. It has no effect on potions.
Engineering – Engineers may attach Hyperspeed Accelerators to a pair of gloves, increasing their haste rating by 340 for 10 seconds. 2 minute cooldown. UPDATE: duration was increased from 8 to 10 seconds in 3.0.8.
Inscription – Scribes may inscribe their shoulder armor to grant:
Jewelcrafting – Jewelcrafters can equip up to three of the following BoP gems:

Leatherworking – Leather workers may attach a fur lining to their bracers to grant:
Tailoring – Tailors may embroider their cloaks to give a chance:
Herbalism – Using Lifeblood, herbalists may heal themselves for 2000 over 5 seconds at level 80. They may also use Fire Leaf (400 Attack Power for 10 seconds) and Fire Seed (200 Spell Power for 10 seconds).
Mining – Toughness grants Miners 50 extra Stamina at level 80. UPDATE: changed from 500 extra health in 3.0.8.
Skinning – Master of Anatomy grants Skinners 32 extra Crit at level 80. UPDATE: changed from 25 extra Crit in 3.0.8.
Enchanting – In World of Warcraft the only “service” profession is enchanting. It a service profession because the enchantments you create are applied to already existing objects. Therefore, because there are no tangible objects that can be bought or sold, this can pose a difficult challenge at times; While other wow professions allow you to buy or sell things on the auction house, a profession in enchanting only allows you to give out your enchantments through the trade window.

- Blacksmithing and Jewelcrafting make it much easier to achieve socket bonuses (Blacksmithing allows gem color freedom on gloves and bracers and Jewelcrafting allows gem color freedom in up to three sockets)
- Jewelcrafting allows you to gain stats that the other professions do not (e.g. Armor Penetration, Hit, Expertise, etc.)
- Jewelcrafting makes meta gem requirements much easier, if not trivial, and as such allows you to avoid using suboptimal gems
