I have to admit it: Pinocchio was never one of my favorite Disney films. When I was a kid, the scene where all the children turned into donkeys completely freaked me out. As I grew older, it grew less disturbing — but I still wondered what the heck the point of it all was. Then again, I was trying to make sense out of a movie that featured a puppet taking advice from a cricket. … no wonder that never quite worked.
