Author: Wes Ford A look into how much you rely on add-ons to make your gold. Are you completely dependant on them to automate your job or do you do it the old fashion way? After reading this article over on WoWInsider the other day I began to ponder on it. What does this mean to those of us who are looking for financial freedom in WoW? Obviously the people most up in arms about these changes are those developers who have used their add-ons for financial freedom in real life. However, could this debacle lend its self to an economic down turn inside the game as well? Ask yourself, outside of your UI mods, how many mods are you using to successfully, and more importantly quickly, play the auction house? Sure, you could get by without your mail mod, but could you get by with Auctioneer? For those of us who prefer to make our money hand over fist as opposed to one stack of ore at a time, if our mods disappeared what would we do? Could we handle going back to the old way of manually watching prices and looking for market trends? How would this impact the entire economy? Would it help those of us on top income charts or turn us into unemployed CEO’s delivering pizzas ? Whichever way this hand falls, I think all of us need reevaluate our situation and our reliance on mods to do our grunt work for us. Go for a day without using your important financial mods, and see if you could keep up your gold mine without it. Let us know your results. Want to submit a guest post? Read this !
