Fear Just Got Nerfed

Guess what, Hornstradamus was right : one nerf down, six to go! One of the best spells in our spellbook no longer benefits from the Contagion talent. However, Fear is not the only spell which got nerfed: Polymorph , Hex , Viper Sting , Frost Nova , Chains of Ice , and even rogue poisons . Basically, any class talents which increased the dispel resistance now only work on “helpful” spells and DoT s, and no longer on “offensive” spells, particularly crowd controls. But before you all nerdrage, I’ll say it’s actually a good change for overall arena balance. The dispel mechanic in PvP can be extremely frustrating and next to RNG is the most common reason for smashed keyboards. It (used to be) quite annoying to try to dispel a CC on your team mate only to have it resisted three, four times in a row. This fix should permanently put an end to it and make crowd control less of a factor in PvP. Hopefully, burst damage will become less of a factor as well — perhaps then we can step back into serious PvP. Post from: Yet Another Warlock Nerf .
