Not every little change is mentioned in the official patch notes, here are a few that you may have missed. Gold dropped from some old world bosses have been reduced. Not that farming old bosses was big money, but a few hundred gold off each boss was nice. It seems like ZG, AQ20, and Onyxia were affected by this change. Onyxia for example, only drops around 50g now down from 150g+ [Relic of Ulduar] are not soulbound anymore. There were some rumors going around that may have caused some confusion about its’ BOP status. Luckily the change went through and we can sell/buy these off the auction house and put it toward the dreaded Sons of Hodir reputation. All fishing nodes in Northrend now have a high chance to drop Pygmy Suckerfish along with the regular fish as well. I did noticed that the price of [Pygmy Suckerfish] went way down to about 1.5g each from 5g each. However it is also very easy to catch them now when fishing in the pools. We are still unsure if this is a nerf or buff to the fishing profession. If your an Alchemist and a fisherman, then this is great since you no longer have to spend hours farming for the rare sucker. Fishing now has another by-product that everyone can benefit from since the oil made from these fish are used to craft the two DPS potions, [Potion of Speed] and [Potion of Wild Magic] . I stop fishing for a bit, but the new [Fish Feast] came out and it uses 6 fishes total, so it is nice that I also get tons of suckerfish from the pools I fish in. Basic Campfire no longer uses Simple Wood as a reagent. Not the most exciting change, but for you Cooks out there, it is nice to free up an extra bag slot. Even better if you have a [Gnomish Army Knife] to replace all your tools. Having Cooking at level 1 and the army knife or [Flint and Tinder] allows you to make a fire anywhere. [Potion of Wild Magic] now gives 200 crit and 200 spell power up from 60 crit and 180 spell power. A nice boost for the 15 second DPS potion, [Potion of Wild Magic] . We noticed that the DPS potions are getting more expensive as less and less people use them to level and or price them very low on the auction house. I had mentioned that I purchase items before I actually need them to take advantage of low prices. This is one of those items I purchased in large amounts a few weeks after launch for less than 3g each. There are up around 10g each at the moment on my server. A 32-slot Engineering bag, [Titanium Toolbox] , has been added. Not much to say here, just a new bag and possible profits may be had if your able to sell a few overpriced ones on the auction house. In my experience, new and rare bags sell for a lot when they first are introduced. Then over time they plummet in value. There is also a low demand for things like speciality bags. [Darkmoon Card:Berserker!] can now proc from attacking as well, changed from only being attacked. Another trinket buff, still not a great one. In high rated arenas you either going to be using a DPS trinket or your Battlemaster along with the standard PVP trinket. With lowered costs for creating cards, this item may drop in price as well. Keep in mind that just because materials cost less, it does not always mean profits will be lower since the finish product will also sell for cheaper. The price of materials and final product may not fall the same percentage. So profits can be higher than usual, just probably not for this specific item.
