About a week ago we wrote about Income vs. Spending and the use of Auditor to track your gold. Well we had said that we would publish our own numbers this week. We installed the addon during the early months of Wotlk when we were about level 76 grinding our way up to 80. Looking at the numbers now, we had spent a ridicoulous amount of gold as well as made a healthy amount from quests, loot, and vendor trash. Just note that the addon was only installed on one character, my main, and not a bank alt. Loot 8700 g – The majority is from raid bosses, which we have figured out that Naxx drops about 250g per full clear. This also includes looting trash mobs and everything else that sparkles. This is more than enough to offset our repair bills. Vendors 2900 g / 25,400 g - This is a combination of vendor trash and green quality quest rewards that were vendored. Looks like months of looting vendor trash paid off with an extra 3000g. However we did pay a lot to reagent vendors along with a few large purchases such as [Reins of the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth] and [Band of the Kirin Tor] / [Inscribed Bankd of the Kirin Tor] . Subtracting these large purchases, it looks like we only spent around 1600g on reagents, vials, and other random items from vendors. This may also include things like the [Toy Train Set] too. Quests 10,300 g – Questing is an amazing way to earn gold and this includes dailies as well. This number is actually supposed to be a lot higher since we only started using the addon at level 76. For more information on this topic, check out our previous article on Alts and Questing . Trade 5700 g / 14000 g – This is just the income gold from people that have traded me gold, tips, ect. They also include the 3 Valor BOE bracers I have sold, for a total of 2600g after 3.1. As for the spending, this was mostly the 12,500g spent on vendor materials for the [Mechano-hog] . Mail You can pretty much ignore this category since it includes gold sent to this character from a bank alt. Auction House Since this was on a main, there were not incomings from auctions. Most of my buying/selling is done on a single bank alt . Training 3500 g – This is from respec costs pre-3.1and possible includes the 1000g for dual spec training. As you can tell, it was worth it to purchase dual specs. Flights 400 g – We are lazy so we take every flight path instead of flying manually. This is too little gold for us to care about. Repairs 6800 g – Not to big of a deal since our gold loot number was 8700g, so that pays for our repairs. Unknown 1100 g / 4000 g – We have no idea what is considered unknown expenses. Reconciliation 4800 g / 4200 g – This is just how much gold we had on this character when the addon was installed. Guild Bank 1300 g – This is how much we have deposited into our guild’s bank which also include purchasing raid related items. Feel free to publish your Auditor numbers in the comments!
